Exploring LeBron James’ Recently Acquired Beverly Hills Mansion Following Demolition of $37M Home

LeBron James recently finalized the purchase of his third Los Angeles residence, a sprawling 13,000-square-foot estate in Beverly Hills. He secured the property for $36.75 million, slightly under the original asking price of $39 million.

The mansion boasts a rich history, dating back to construction in the 1930s. Previously, it belonged to the late Lee Phillip Bell, co-creator of the iconic soap operas “The Bold and the Beautiful” and “The Young and the Restless.” Beyond Bell, the estate has housed other Hollywood legends. Actor Charles Boyer once owned the property, and it was even leased to the legendary Katharine Hepburn during her relationship with Howard Hughes, another former owner.

Beyond the impressive 13,000 square feet, the estate offers lavish amenities. Two guesthouses provide additional space for guests, while four bedrooms and seven bathrooms ensure comfort for residents. Entertainment options abound with a private tennis court and a movie theater. The cherry on top? Breathtaking views of both Beverly Hills and the Pacific Ocean.

Sitting on a sprawling 2.5 acres, the property might not stand for long. James reportedly has plans to demolish the existing structure and build a new, custom-designed estate.

Los Angeles continues to be a hot seller’s market. Zillow reports a 7.4% increase in median home values over the past year, with projections for a further 5.9% rise in the next twelve months.
