This marked his fourth ejection of the season and the first since he received a 16-game suspension from the NBA for previous misconduct, including an incident where he struck Phoenix center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during a game on December 12.

The ejection occurred with 8:24 remaining in the first quarter against the Magic, following an argument with referee Ron Acosta over a foul called on his teammate Andrew Wiggins. Green received two quick technical fouls, resulting in his automatic ejection from the game.

Golden State Warriors standout Draymond Green’s evening came to an abrupt end shortly after it commenced. Green was ejected from the Warriors’ contest against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday, barely four minutes into the game. With 8:24 left in the first quarter and the score tied at 6-6, Green received consecutive technical fouls. His first technical was awarded for disputing a foul called on Stephen Curry, while Magic’s Paolo Banchero attempted a layup.

Despite attempts by Curry and other teammates to calm him, Green persisted in arguing with referee Ray Acosta, resulting in a second technical and subsequent ejection from the game. This expulsion was significant for the Warriors’ postseason aspirations, as they entered the night in 10th place in the Western Conference, the final position for the play-in tournament, with just a one-game lead over the 11th place Houston Rockets.
