What can’t NBA legend LeBron James do? He has long been viewed as in the discussion for being the best player ever, he is the all-time scoring leader, has been in movies, and is also a successful businessman.
On Thursday, he dabbled into the media side of things by breaking a store that’s very near and dear to him. As, and it’s hard to believe this is a thing, reported by James, Duquesne University has chosen their next head coach, and that is Dru Joyce III.
“I’m proud to announce! As the unquestioned source I am confirming that Dru Joyce is the new HC at Duquesne University and is meeting with the team right now! So damn happy and proud of you my brother!!!”
The former assistant that was promoted on Thursday was teammates with James in high school, and actually ended up replacing Keith Dambrot who coached them in high school.
Joyce is taking over a Dukes team that won the Atlantic 10 and appeared in the NCAA Tournament for the first time since 1977.
As for James, he is expected to dabble in the media much more, as he and former NBA sharpshooter JJ Reddick host the new podcast ‘Mind the Game’ where they dissect basketball in every way imaginable.
