Jalen Brunson leads the Knicks to a comeback win over the Bucks.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee (47-31) with 28 points along with 15 boards and eight assists. Bobby Portis came off the bench to score 24 on 10-of-15 shooting while Damian Lillard scored 23.
The New York Knicks bҽat the Milwaukee Bucks 122–109 on Sunday, with Jalen Brunson scoring 43 points on 50 percent shooting from the field. It was the Bucks’ fourth straight loss.
Donte DiVincenzo, a former Buck, scored 26 points for New York (46-32) and made 8 of 11 shots from beyond the arc. The player named Isaiah Hartenstein scored 18 points and grabbed 10 boards.
Milwaukee (47-31) was led by Giannis Antetokounmpo, who scored 28 points, grabbed 15 boards, and gave out 8 assists. Bobby Portis scored 24 points off the bench, making 10 of 15 shots. Damian Lillard scored 23 points.
The home team mostly controlled the first half. With 17 points already from Brunson, Milwaukee was ahead 31–25 at the start of the second quarter thanks to 12 points from Lillard.
Milwaukee built their biggest lead of the game in the second quarter, going into the break ahead 61–50. Antetokounmpo scored 18 points to lead the Bucks. The Bucks shot 52.6 percent, while New York shot 37.3 percent.
When Khris Middleton left the game in the second quarter, it hurt the Bucks. Hartenstein hit Middleton in the mouth by accidҽnt, and she bled on the court. She was officially ruled out with mouth injuries.
New York turned things around in the third quarter when Middleton was taken out of the game. They dominated on both sides of the court and erased their deficit. Six points were scored by Milwaukee in the first six minutes. The Knicks, on the other hand, made 14 of 19 shots (73.7%) in the third quarter alone.
Brunson scored 14 more points to help the Knicks win the quarter 39–24. They were ahead 89–85 going into the fourth. They kept up their good play into the fourth as well.
New York went on a 10-2 run to start the fourth, leaving them ahead 99-87.
DiVincenzo gave the daggers to them. With 2:36 left, he made back-to-back 3-pointers that put the Knicks ahead 117–103.
