The Milwaukee Bucks’ season ended on Thursday night as they fell to the Indiana Pacers 120-98 in Game 6 of their opening-round playoff series.
Due to an injury sustained at the end of the season, two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo was unable to play in the series and missed the team’s final nine games.
The Bucks have fallen in the first round of the playoffs for the second straight season since Antetokounmpo also had injuries last season.
Brandon Jennings, a previous fan favorite of the Bucks, was unfollowed by Antetokounmpo on Friday, according to NBA Alerts, an organization that keeps track of social media activity across the league.
Before Antetokounmpo was selected, Jennings played for the Bucks for the first four seasons of his career.
In 2017–18, he made a second trip back to the squad, this time as Antetokounmpo’s temporary colleague.
Jennings also played for the Detroit Pistons, New York Knicks, Orlando Magic, and Washington Wizards in addition to the Bucks.
With the Bucks, Antetokounmpo has now participated in 11 NBA seasons.
After averaging 30.4 points, 11.5 rebounds, 6.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 1.1 blocks per game in 73 games during the regular season, he shot 27.4% from three-point range and 61.1% from the field.
The Bucks defeated Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns to win the 2021 NBA Championship. They had advanced to the NBA playoffs in each of the previous eight seasons.
