Anthony Edwards inked his sponsorship deal with adidas back in 2020 when he was just a rookie. In late 2023, he officially debuted the adidas AE1, a shoe with a flexible upper and a honeycomb-style TPU overlay.
Since then, the adidas AE1 has launched in a wide range of colors, from the all-black “MX Charcoal” to the peachy “Wonder Clay,” the latter of which arrived just earlier this month
Just hours ahead of the NBA playoffs, Edwards revealed the new adidas AE1 Low, sharing a 30-second teaser for the shoe on Instagram. The AE1 Low doesn’t skimp out on the TPU overlay – which covers the majority of the shoe even in the mid version – but rather makes the black upper even smaller, cutting off at the ankle.
In the video, Edwards is sitting in the car with a friend when he takes the AE1 Lows out of his bag and laces them up. The first version of the sneaker comes with a bright pink overlay.
While there isn’t an official release date for the AE1 Low just yet, it’s more than likely Edwards will debut the sneaker during his game later today.
