Grizzlies star Ja Morant reveals his first signature shoe in a heartwarming video, with his daughter Kaari assisting him in unwrapping the new pink Nikes, which he then wears for the first time in a Christmas Day game

Ja Morant announced the launch of his first signature shoe with a heartwarming video on Sunday, as he enlisted the help of his daughter Kaari to unveil the new sneaker.

In the clip, Morant is sitting on a wooden bench as Kaari comes over and hands him a wrapped shoebox.

‘Got daddy a gift?’ he asks.

With Kaari’s assistance, Morant opens the box to reveal his very own Nike shoe, the Ja1, in a light blue, pink, and yellow colorway.

“It’s what I always wanted. Thank you,” the superstar guard tells his daughter.

Morant also shared a promotional image of the shoe on Twitter, stating, “I didn’t get here by myself. This is for Dalzell, Murray, Memphis, and everybody who believed in 12 from Day One.”

Although Morant will debut the shoes during Memphis’ Christmas game against the Warriors, ESPN reports that they won’t be available in retail until spring and summer 2023.
