On Saturday night, Damian Lillard, who turns 34 this month on July 15, held a pre-birthday celebration in his old NBA home in Portland, Oregon. The Bucks star was on stage for a good portion of the party, which continued until 2:00 am at the Portland Art Museum.
During the evening, Lillard was observed dancing on stage while wearing a big crown to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” one of his most well-known diss tracks directed at fellow rap mogul Drake.
At one point, Sacramento rapper Mozzy—who has frequently collaborated with NBA player Damian Lillard—joined him on stage. Lillard also goes by the moniker Dаme D.O.L.L.A.
Mozzy appears on the tune “Long Live Free” from Dаme’s 2023 album “Don D.O.L.L.A.” and has two features on his 2019 album “Big D.O.L.L.A.” The two were shown in one film grooving to Mozzy’s song “Anti Freestyle.”
Lillard will have his hands full the upcoming season.
In the future, Lillard’s age will not be an advantage, and the Eastern Conference will only get better as the Bucks attempt to recover from a disappointing and ιnjury-plagued season.
The Bucks have made much less of an impact in free agency than the Philadelphia 76ers, who have added reserve big man Andre Drummond, drafted Duke point guard Jared McCain, and added All-Star forward Paul George. Patrick Beverley and Malik Beasley, who will be replaced by veterans Delon Wright and Taurean Prince, will not be available off the bench going into the upcoming season.
The defending champion Boston Celtics also made sure to bolster their starting lineup by extending guard Derrick White and signing forward Jayson Tatum to a record-breаking deal. With the addition of two-way wing Mikal Bridges, the New York Knicks assembled a team replete with former Villanova Wildcats eager to build on their stellar 2023–2024 campaign.
During his rookie campaign in Milwaukee, Lillard’s scoring average dropped to 24.3 points per game on 42 percent shooting. While star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo was sidelined by ιnjury during their only series against the Indiana Pacers last season, the eight-time All-Star played in 73 games, which is the most since his 2018–2019 season in Portland. He also scored at least 28 points per game in that series.
