NBA Alerts, a service that keeps track of social media activity within the league, has revealed that Desmond Bane, a player for the Memphis Grizzlies, has following All-Star point guard Damian Lillard on X.
Before being traded to the Milwaukee Bucks during the previous summer, Lillard had played for the Portland Trail Blazers for the first 11 seasons of his career.
Upon concluding his inaugural season in Milwaukee, he averaged 24.3 points, 4.4 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 35.4% from three-point range and 42.4% from the field in 73 games.
With a 49-33 record, the Bucks were the third seed in the Eastern Conference.
But in the first round of the NBA playoffs, they were defeated (in six games) by the Indiana Pacers.
Bane, on the other hand, had another successful season, averaging 23.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 38.4% from three-point range and 46.4% from the field in 42 games.
The Grizzlies had numerous injuries and were eliminated from the NBA playoffs for the first time since 2020.
