For the first time since 2012, three NBA players were selected to carry the banner during the parade that took place at the Seine River during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games.

 

Giannis Antetokounmpo, who was holding the flag of Greece, Dennis Schroder, who was the reigning world champion for Germany, and LeBron James, who was representing the United States of America, all smiled as they proudly carried the banners of their respective countries.
