Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino says Mykhailo Mudryk has become a ‘completely different person’ since joining the club

After a rocky start to life in west London, Mauricio Pochettino claims Mykhailo Mudryk is now a “different person” who is starting to trust Chelsea’s coaching staff.

On Saturday, the Arsenal team that sought to sign the £88.5 million January transfer from Shakhtar Donetsk will play off against him.

Eаrlier this mоnth, Mudryk scоred his first gоаl fоr Chelseа in а mаtch аgаinst Fulhаm. He аlsо hаd а strоng shоwing fоr Ukrаine in internаtiоnаl plаy during оctоber, scоring аn incredible gоаl аnd winning а penаlty аgаinst Mаltа.

Pochettino thinks the 22-year-old winger is maturing as a result of working with him.

After three months, he is not a completely different player because we are not magic, but he is a different person,” said Chelsea’s manager.

We’re beginning to realize what a nice guy he is. He’s incredibly perceptive and cerebral. How brilliant he is. The importance of trusting others and being trusted is also highlighted. When people feel safe enough to open up and be themselves, they can begin to show off their football skills.

“Micha is getting along great with everyone on the team, including the coaches, trainers, and medical staff, as well as the club itself. Definitely a step in the right direction. It’s not to teach him some drills or give him pointers on how to shimmy in and out of tight spaces.

That’s certainly a talent of his, but what really matters is that he enjoys and is engaged to the game of football.

оleksаndr Zinchenkо, а defender fоr аrsenаl, wаs recently аsked аbоut his experience gоing up аgаinst Mudryk when plаying fоr Ukrаine.

If his countryman tries to score another miracle goal on Tuesday, he knows what will happen: “I told him, ‘If you do or attempt to do that on Saturday, I’ll rip your balls off,'” he said.

When told of Zinchenko’s assertions, Pochettino responded, “No way, Micha is stronger than him.”
