Generosity in Action: Giannis Antetokounmpo Surprises Teammates and Staff with New Shoes

The Greek Freak’s annual custom of handing people free shoes continues.

The Greek Freak’s gift

Damian Lillard was among those who eagerly grabbed a fresh pair of Giannis’ shoes.

“Hey man, I really appreciate it. “I appreciate it a lot,” Lillard said in a video broadcast on Giannis’ social media sites.

In exchange, Giannis stated that he expects to receive a pair of Lillard’s trademark sneakers.

“Make sure you give me one of yours, too,” Antetokounmpo replied.

“I’ve got you covered, man. I need my signature. “Your signature is excellent,” Lillard replied.

Giannis then went to the facility’s offices and delivered more shoes, much to the delight of the staff. Giving shoes to his teammates has become an annual tradition for the two-time MVP.

Giannis’ gesture of kindness comes as the Bucks prepare for the upcoming season, which begins on October 24th. Milwaukee will make its season debut against the Philadelphia Sixers on October 26th.

The Bucks will enter the new season not only with a fresh roster but also with a new coaching staff. Adrian Griffin, who took over for the fired Mike Budenholzer, is the Bucks’ head coach.

The most notable player that has left the Bucks is Jrue Holiday. In exchange for Holiday, the Bucks received seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard in a three-team trade with the Phoenix Suns.

The Bucks’ key returns are Khris Middleton and Brook Lopez, while Malik Beasley and Cameron Payne are anticipated to be significant contributors.
